1. To attend films at the Chilliwack Independent Film Festival (CIFF), you must be aged 18 or older and a member of our film society unless otherwise stated. Why? Chilliwack Independent Film Festival is responsible for operating in compliance with the Motion Picture Act and ConsumerProtection BC. To attend a Chilliwack Independent Film Festival film screening (which may not have been classified by Consumer Protection BC), you must be a Chilliwack Independent Film Festival member. Therefore, to attend a film screening at the Chilliwack Independent Film, you must be a Chilliwack Film Society member. Membership is by annual subscription and is limited to persons who are 18 years of age or over. Only members are permitted to be present at the place where a non-classified film is being exhibited. Chilliwack Independent Film Festival’s mandate is the encouragement and appreciation of motion pictures as a medium of art, information or education.
  2. Only one membership is required per person. Ticket holders may be required to show your membership card at each screening you attend and whenever you purchase tickets. If you cannot produce a valid membership card at a screening, you will be required to purchase one at that time. Annual membership is $2 CAD. Please keep your card or membership number with you at all times.
  3. Memberships are included in all Pass Purchases. Membership to the Chilliwack Film Society also allows you to purchase tickets to the Abbotsford Film Festival which takes place each summer. Membership also allows you to purchase tickets and attend the monthly Cult and Craft Beer screenings at Ravens Brewing, which the Chilliwack Film Society co-hosts.
