CIFF Awards
The Chilliwack Independent Film Festival will close with an illustrious award ceremony on Sunday the 24th of November at 7.30pm inside the Cottonwood Cinema. The event will be free to all with Oscar style nomination screenings, a variety of craft beer and wine available, plus over ten hand crafted custom award trophies issued to winners across several categories:
This includes the coveted Chilliwack Spirit Award, provided by sponsors Nations Creations and their local Sto’lo artists. The rest of the awards are handcrafted by BC artist Kimberley Francis out of beautiful cedar wood. These awards include:
  • Best of Fest
  • Best Short Film
  • Best Documentary
  • Best of BC
  • Best Director
  • Best Actor
  • Best Actress
  • Best Cinematography
  • Best Script
  • Best Score
For our third edition we have also included two new categories. With the launch of the 48 HOUR FILM COMPETITION we’ll be handing out an award for Best 48 Hour Film. We will also provide a SCRIPT TO SCREEN award. Our panel of industry professionals will choose one short script to be developed and made into a short film. With our guidance and in-kind support from local businesses and professionals, we help the winner take their script to the screen, with the finished film set to premiere in 2020 at the fourth edition of the Chilliwack Independent Film Festival.
